Bangkok Power Outages: Scheduled Maintenance Across Key Districts

Parts of Bangkok and Samut Prakan are facing scheduled power outages today, September 26, as the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) carries out vital maintenance to improve the safety and reliability of the electricity grid. Key zones in Bangkok affected include Sukhumvit Road 101/1, Soi Wachiratham Sathit 39 (8.30 am–3 pm), Pattanakarn Road Soi 65 (9 am–2 pm), Phutthamonthon Sai 2 Soi 24 (8.30 am–1.30 pm), and Bang Khun Non Road Soi 31 (8.30 am–12 pm).

In Samut Prakan, residents near the Bang Pu Recreation Centre on Sukhumvit Road will experience cuts from 9 am to 12 pm. The MEA has urged households and businesses to plan ahead, particularly those working remotely or running shops in busy areas. While the outage may temporarily disrupt daily routines, visitors staying at centrally located hotels such as NH Bangkok Asoke can rely on nearby conveniences, from coworking spaces to some of the top restaurants in Sukhumvit, ensuring comfort remains within reach during the maintenance window.
