Queensland is to ease virus restrictions, opening the NSW border on November 1
Queensland will be opening its borders to New South Wales from the 1st of November as a result of the state’s roadmap to recovery, which was announced on the 2nd of October. The travel restrictions between the two borders will ease on the 1st of November. New South Wales does not report any cases of COVID-19 transmissions within its community for 28 days. Travellers from New South Wales will be able to enter Queensland, along with a valid border declaration pass, and stay at Middlemount service apartments the likes of Oaks Middlemount Suites in November. There won’t be any need to quarantine as the “Queenslanders have done a brilliant job,” according to premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.
From November, forty people will be able to attend private gatherings while the same number of people are permitted to dance at weddings. Gatherings of up to 50 people will be allowed in homes and other public spaces from the 1st of December. The same month will bring permission for guests up to 1500 people to attend outdoor events.
