The long-running diplomatic ties between India and Thailand were commemorated on a celebratory note amidst the Northeast India Festival from the 19th to the 31st of July 2022. The festivities were held in the capital city of the country as guests of any hotel in Bangkok, Sukhumvit was able to witness the vibrant celebration that marked 75 years of Indo-Thai ties. The event was organised by the Embassy of India, in partnership with the North Eastern States of India and was quite the spectacle to witness from nearby areas and even from one’s accommodation in Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel.
This served as the second edition of this event, which was first held in 2019 and was a step towards strengthening tourism in Northeast India, depicting the potential of the region to welcome globetrotters from all across the world. The event also aimed to further strengthen ties between the two countries as a deep understanding could be rooted in hosting such events.
