A Discussion on Inter-Island Travel in the Caribbean at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Session

Trevor Sadler, The CEO of interCrribean Airways recently shed some light on traveling between the Caribbean Islands at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association session. As reported on the St. Thomas Source on the 6th of April 2022, as the CEO of one of the largest airlines in the Caribbean, he believed that lowering taxes for residents who wished to cross islands would be an ideal beginning.

Jorge Hernandez, the CEO of Aerostar Airport Holdings added that the San Juan Airport had reported a record-breaking 900,000 travelers passing through in March 2022, which also connects to 28 airports in the USA, an even higher number than the Honolulu Airport. Commenting on inter-island travel, he stated that all nations in the Caribbean region must come together to promote this type of travel. He also believes that the islands need consistency and uniformity regarding travel restrictions.
