A Global Culinary Showcase at Expo 2020 Dubai – Highlighting Global Cuisines

While the ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai offers a dazzling array of technological marvels, amongst its key components is the diverse dining on offer too. This was highlighted on the Forbes website in December last year which quoted an interview with Simon Wright, the chairman and founder of TGP International, a hospitality agency tasked with curating the event’s culinary experiences.

He revealed that there are over 250 cultural food concepts at the site showcasing dishes from 191 countries. It brought what he called the “global culinary community” together and is helping to foster an appreciation for other cultures too. There was a special place for UAE chefs too through an initiative called “Born at Expo” and the dining hall, Rising Flavours, featuring dishes from around the Gulf Cooperation Council. Visitors arriving after Expo 2020 Dubai concludes on 31st March 2022 will still be able to enjoy the city’s diverse dining scene; be it at local eateries offering regional dishes to an Indian restaurant in Dubai the likes of Tandoor Tina, there are plenty more culinary adventures in store.
