A new bridge across Zambezi River links Botswana, Zambia – Facilitating trade and tourism

Zambia and Botswana started the construction of a bridge connecting the two countries back in 2014, and it saw its completion stage recently in 2021. This massive bridge is 923m long and as per the reports, this is a multi-million project contributed by several nations and world organizations. The total budget for this project was 259.3 million US Dollars, and countries like China, Japan, and South Korea have offered their valuable contributions to make this visionary plan a reality.

One aim of developing this bridge is surely improving the trade aspects of both countries. The other includes the promotion of the tourism sector. According to the industry experts, every Livingstone hotel the likes of Royal Livingstone Hotel by Anantara will most likely receive more travellers who come specifically to see and explore this bridge.
