A Night With Janis Joplin – Raw, Powerful, Femininity!

From the 1960s era of peace, love and psychedelic rock, Janis Joplin was a young but very influential American songstress. The star rose to fame instantaneously for her singing style and the emotional turbulence in her personal life.

Unfortunately, in October 1970 Janis Lyn Joplin died of an accidental drug overdose at the young age of 27. Janis was warmly referred to as Pearl, which happened to be the name of her last album, released after her untimely death.

Pearl – The Janis Joplin Story is an interpretational musical that has been put together for her fans in Mackay, Queensland to celebrate her legacy, taking place on the 8th of March 2017. If you’re visiting from out of town, finding a hotel in Mackay shouldn’t be much of a hassle, considering the number of value-for-money accommodation options available nearby, like the Oaks Rivermarque and others.
