A Rise in Demand for Hospitality Education in Thailand

A Brighter Outlook

Despite the setbacks faced by the hospitality industry due to COVID-19, hospitality institutes in Thailand have seen a growing demand by those looking to be prepared for the post-pandemic recovery period. This was highlighted in an online article published by the Bangkok Post in November 2020. The article went on to mention how the Asian Institute of Hospitality Management (AIHM) which is offering students a chance to gain a hospitality management degree, will also cover core elements like food safety hygiene; this is seen as vital in today’s day and age when health and hygiene are at the forefront of a traveller’s mind. Set to begin its first academic year in April at its Pattaya and Bangkok campuses, AIHM is amongst the country’s hospitality institutes that will no doubt hope this demand for hospitality education will continue to increase.
