A Tourism and Travel Fair Par Excellence – Sancharaka Udawa 2020
Sancharaka Udawa 2020 returned after a successful run in 2019 from the 15th – 16th May at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre in Colombo.
Many luxury hotels, advertisers and marketers were present at the stalls where discussions happened about the latest in travel and tourism including the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and how the tourism industry can work together with digital platforms to make a powerful comeback. The exhibition made for an excellent sounding board for introducing new ways of getting the message across to the global audience as well as showcasing the uniquely Sri Lankan aspects of tourism that have long succeeded in making the island a hotspot and go-to destination for tourists all over the world. It was an excellent platform for many a Colombo city hotel to expect a boost in room bookings but also to showcase their services as the Mandarina Colombo Hotel.
