A Yacht Marina soon in the Galle Fort
Adding new additions to overall experiences

State Minister of Port Development, Kanaka Herath recently declared that the government is aiming to develop the Galle Port for a Yacht Marina considering the demands made by interested parties and the impact that it can make on the tourism industry of Sri Lanka.
According to him, the Galle Port has already become one of the key attractions for Western tourists and that they often love sailing in this area watching the beautiful sceneries around. Tourists staying in 5-star hotels in Galle engage in many different activities in this area, and it is hoped that the new Yacht Marina will attract more of them, once built. Galle has seen many improvements in its regional tourism sector and one of them includes the establishment of great accommodation optionsthe likes of Le Grand Galle in the area.
