“Aalam Arabi Korea” Initiative to Draw Arabic Visitors to South Korea – Making Asia a More Arab-Friendly Destination

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization, has introduced a new initiative called Aalam Arabi Korea, aimed at enhancing the tourism experience for visitors from the Middle East. This public-private consultative group, consisting of 31 tourism-related companies, seeks to develop tailored tourism products, understand Middle Eastern travellers’ preferences, and provide cultural counselling to local travel agencies. For these travellers, there are several serviced apartments in Incheon such as the likes of the Oakwood Premier Incheon ready and willing to provide accommodation.

The launch ceremony, attended by ambassadors from several Arab countries, emphasized the potential for Aalam Arabi Korea to strengthen cultural bonds and foster a new era of partnership between South Korea and the Arab world. Efforts will focus on promoting local tourism across various sectors, such as medical services, shopping, Korean culture, and luxury accommodation, with a particular emphasis on improving amenities for Muslim travellers.
