Abu Dhabi Updates Entry Requirements – ICA Smart Travel Service Registration Required

As with most destinations around the world, Abu Dhabi has also been updating its entry requirements. This included requiring tourists (not applicable for transit guests or UAE nationals) to register via the ICA Smart Travel Service (ica.gov.ae) before arrival; this rule came into effect from 27th August 2021 and travellers must register no later than five days before they fly to Abu Dhabi. Since requirements can change, check for additional updates closer to the date of departure (https://visitabudhabi.ae/en/plan-your-trip/covid-safe-travel).

There has also been an easing of restrictions for fully vaccinated travellers; those from countries on the “green” list or part of travel corridors and who have a green status on the Al Hosn app don’t have to quarantine on arrival. From sightseeing to hosting celebrations of love at wedding venues in Abu Dhabi, there’s much for travellers to enjoy on their visit. What’s more, properties like Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel have also adopted strict health and hygiene measures throughout ensuring safe stays too.
