Abu Dhabi’s Floating Louvre Museum is Finally Opening – The 10 years of Wait Ends

Constructed for the past 10 years and much spoken about, the Floating Louvre Museum of Abu Dhabi finally saw the light as it was opened on the 11th of November, 2017. Art lovers and tourists alike are expected to visit the museum in throngs in the coming months and the 5 star hotels in Abu Dhabi are looking forward to being fully booked, especially the hotels in the area, like Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara. Designed by Jean Nouvel, a French architect, this construction has 55 disconnected buildings, of which 23 are purely gallery spaces that are linked through walkways that look over the deep blue ocean. The plan was that this museum was to have the feeling of being a city of museums, and therefore, the buildings are low rise, making an explorer feel like they are walking through the streets of Arabic Medina.
