Adelaide Cabaret Festival Returns Next Month

The annual Adelaide Cabaret Festival will be back in South Australia’s capital next month and is promising to deliver its customary line-up of eclectic programmes, cabaret performances and events. It will take place from 10th – 25th June 2022 at venues at the Adelaide Festival Centre; those planning on attending and looking for hotel deals in Australia within easy reach of this site can consider properties of Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites. This year, Australian singer-songwriter, actress and record producer, Tina Arena will take on the role of Artistic Director of what is billed by its organisers as the world’s biggest cabaret festival.

This year’s edition is expected to showcase 377 artists and musicians featuring in over 90 performances that will see 14 world premieres as well. Performers will not just be from Australia but around the world too. One of the highlights will be “Songs My Mother Taught Me”, featuring songs and storytelling with the likes of Tina Arena, Sophie Koh, Jess Hitchcock, Lior, Thando and Wendy Matthews.
