Travel Bloggers – Sri Lanka Kicks Off the 2020 Campaign

A selected list of 27 high profile travel bloggers and travel influencers, covering the global audience of the UK, India, Australia, Germany, Norway, Canada and the US were welcomed and taken through a program over 10 destinations starting from Kalpitiya, Wilpattuwa, Anuradapura, Habarana, Sigiriya, Pitawala Pathana in Riverstone- Matale, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Udawalawa and the South. Each segment of the programme was designed to ensure that the travel bloggers were given a complete experience of the rich biodiversity, culture, hospitality and natural beauty.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Board kicked off the Visiting Blogger Program on the 1st of February with the plan of aggressively promoting travel to Sri Lanka in 2020. The campaign took into account the possible long-term implications of the coronavirus shutdown. The programme was also covered by destination websites such as like Truly Sri Lanka.
