Two destinations, one ticket—Malaysia’s gateway just got bigger

Malaysia Airlines has launched an enhanced Bonus Side Trip (BST) programme, giving international travellers the opportunity to discover one of seven Malaysian destinations — Langkawi, Penang, Alor Setar, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, Kuala Terengganu, or Kota Bharu at no extra cost. The initiative, aimed at enriching travel experiences ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026, integrates a complimentary domestic return flight into the original booking, streamlining access and encouraging wider exploration.

This move reflects Malaysia’s vision to distribute tourism beyond Kuala Lumpur, supporting regional economies and spotlighting hidden gems. Destinations like Langkawi now enjoy greater visibility, with charming stays such as Temple Tree Resort Langkawi, a top pick for those seeking a unique Langkawi hotel near airport.

By seamlessly weaving culture, nature, and value into a single travel package, Malaysia Airlines sets a new benchmark for integrated tourism. The programme enhances traveller satisfaction while reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a premier destination in Southeast Asia.
