Aeroflot Increased Flights to the Maldives – Airline Caters to Growing Demand

At the end of last year, Russian airline Aeroflot increased the frequency of flights to the Maldives catering to the growing demand of travellers looking to enjoy holidays in this Indian Ocean nation. In keeping with its plans, the airline first increased flights to up to seven per week last October; subsequently, on 1st November 2023, three additional flights also commenced operations bringing the total number of flights per week to 10 which came during the popular end of the year.

It came as no surprise that Aeroflot offered additional flights since the Maldives is one of the most popular holiday destinations for Russians. In fact, at the end of 2023, Russia along with India emerged as the top two source markets for tourism for the country which recorded over 1.8 million arrivals for the year. Travellers from Russia and the rest of the world continue to be drawn here where they can enjoy stays at the best villas in Maldives found on private island resorts. These include properties like Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives which offer all-inclusive holidays where guests can enjoy everything from romantic escapes and family getaways to fun water sports and holistic wellness rituals.
