Recently, Agoda, a well-known digital travel platform, partnered with the Saturday School Foundation and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to hold the Agoda Tech Day Camp; the purpose of such an initiative is to offer tech workshops that would be beneficial to university and high school students. This was highlighted on the Travel Daily Media news website on 1st June 2023; it went on to further reveal that the first workshop was hosted by Agoda’s Thai tech professionals and was attended by 60 students from the Na Luang High School in Bangkok.
Serving as an educational advisor, the Saturday School Foundation played a key part in co-developing the content of the workshop, ensuring it addressed the needs of students; this includes giving students a chance to learn about using tools like React-Bootstrap to create websites. Thailand continues to be an important base of operation in the region for global technology companies that have headquarters in the Thai capital. These include names such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Dell Technologies and Sertis which can be easily reached from properties like PARKROYAL Suites Bangkok. Those staying at such a Sukhumvit-based residence hotel in Bangkok are well-placed for business dealings and meetings with such tech giants.
