One of the renowned airline service provider; Air Asia has launched a new flight route from Yangon to Chiang Mai starting from August. The new route was established as a part of the airline expanding its destination list and as both of these destinations are unique and culturally significant. The new flight route enables both local and foreign travellers to enjoy flights comparatively of low cost and absolute comfort. Ms Maneenuch Kongarchapatar, AirAsia’s head of commercial operations (Indochina) mentioned that The airline will fly between the destinations three times a week on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hotels in Chiang Mai and resort properties the likes of Anantara Chiang Mai Resort will be greatly benefitted by the airline’s decision and both of the countries will also be economically benefitted as the establishment of new airline routes will increase the tourist footfall for both of the countries.
