Almost each and every day in some part or the other of Japan, there is a magical festival that takes place where people come together to rejoice and celebrate. This being said, every year in Odawara, in the Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan, the Akibasan Fire Festival takes place. It is more accurately known in English as the festival offering protection from fire.

This year the festival will be held on the 6th of December. On this day, you will find priests clothed in traditional outfits as they prepare for the performance of the evening. Wondering what you might see? The priests display amazing skill in archery and martial arts combined with fire. One of the most fascinating things to see would be how Kanji is written on air with sticks of fire. If you are planning your December holiday in the land of the rising sun, opt for a service apartment in Tokyo Shinjuku, which is situated within a short distance away. Perhaps a property like Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo would be a simple drive away, so, you could easily make it to this enchanting event.
