Al Adaid Desert Challenge 2023 Held in Qatar – A Challenging Race Across the Dunes

An event that attracted international participants, the Al Adaid Desert Challenge 2023 was held last month in Qatar. It took place on 10th February 2023 and started from the Mawater Sand Dune which can be reached from some of the best hotels in Doha; these include centrally located properties like Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli which provide an ideal base for those looking to explore the nation’s capital as well. The race which had a 32 km course took cyclists along stunning desert landscapes to the famed Khor Al Adaid or Inland Sea one of the region’s key natural attractions.

While the Al Adaid Desert Challenge 2023 featured two cycling categories for mountain bikes and fat bikes, it also had a desert running race; though this course was shorter than the one for cyclists, it took longer to complete and was more difficult. Additionally, the event had an off-road duathlon category which combined both cycling and running as well as a special race for kids.
