Al Baleed Beach Project: A Popular Addition for Tourism

The Al Baleed Beach Project, located in the Wilayat of Salalah, is a significant addition to the region’s tourism sector, developed by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism within Al Baleed Archaeological Park. This project, especially popular during the Khareef season, offers a 1,200-meter walkway on a suspension bridge with eight cafes and restaurants overlooking the sea. It aims to create a sustainable tourism sector while empowering the local community.

Ali bin Salem Al Kathiri highlighted the project’s role in revitalising cultural heritage sites, while Haitham bin Salem Al Hadary emphasised its potential to enhance economic and social life in the region. The project’s unique architectural design, including shops and restaurants suspended over the sea, positions it as a distinctive tourist destination, with a Salalah beach resort such as the Al Baleed Resort Salalah being complemented by it.
