American News Site Highlights Specialty – The Taste of Hoi An

Bringing into focus a Vietnamese dish known as ‘Cao Lau’, the American site Huffington Post has highlighted this uniquely prepared delicacy that is a speciality served at the Old Town of Hoi An. Writing for the HuffPost Taste section, writer Alison Spiegel has termed this dish one of the country’s ‘Greatest Culinary Treasures’ and provides an evocative gastronomic experience for foodies in search of unique Vietnamese cuisine. Travellers heading to this historic locale looking to savour the distinct flavours and tastes of Cao Lau can do so at the Riverside Café of Anantara Hoi An Resort, a leading Hoi An spa resort in the region. Also named as “The Worth of Asia Cuisine” last year by Asian Record Organization, Cao Lau is made up of rice noodles, crispy wonton chips, greens and pork. Traditionally this iconic dish was made using water from an ancient Hoi An well as well as a special type of tree ash.
