An Expected Demand For Halal Food in Maldives – Tourism continues to change

Maldives approaches the market in the middle east with the concept of halal tourism in hopes that the Muslim travellers from the region will plan their holidays in Maldives with first preference. The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation is implementing a digital campaign called “Have Halal, Will Travel”.

Now, many a Maldives luxury resort have facilities such as non-alcoholic rooms, secluded outdoor pools and a modest swimwear policy. Furthermore, most resorts the likes of Kandolhu Maldives serve halal food at the in-house restaurants. With this, the resorts in Maldives are slowly evolving into halal resorts which will further encourage Muslim travellers from all over the world to holiday in the Maldives archipelago with ease.
