The latest mystery in Bali is the abandoned plane in South Kuta. This Boeing 737 was found in a gated field that is visited by security guards often, and on one such surveillance visit, they spotted this flight. The Bali Seminyak hotels close to the site heard wind of the plane and visitors who were staying at a place like Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort took their cameras and flocked to the site, to capture this wonder. The locals have a story that seems logical, that the plane was supposed to be a restaurant in the making, but as the owner ran out of money, he just left the plane lying there, on the field. This would be the second abandoned flight found in Bali so far, the first being in Kedonganan.
