Known as Male International Airport previously, this place has about 2.6 million people travelling to and from every year and the future of Maldives resorts holds more numbers. In accordance with the rising need, Velana, the major international airport in Maldives, has joined forces with Amadeus’ airport management solutions. Tourism is the biggest money maker in Maldives, with luxury hotels like Anantara Veli Maldives Resort and more attracting more people around the world annually. Amadeus will be handling the passenger co-ordination and flight related information in future, and this, in turn, will reduce the delays and save costs in the long run. The country expects a smoothly running airport after this venture and looks forward to more passengers in the years to come, making it a worthy investment.
