An Update on Travelling to the Maldives – Paradise Opens Its Borders

The Maldives has revealed in an address back in June that it will be opening its borders with no quarantine requirements for travellers when they arrive in the Maldives. Though previously the Tourism Board in the country was talking about a 14-day quarantine period and mandatory coronavirus testing as soon as the travellers arrive at the airport.

But holidaymakers are now able to have their dream holiday at a resort in Maldives, regardless of their nationality and with free on-arrival visa. The Ministry of Tourism for the Maldives posted a video on the 11th of June where it welcomed everyone planning to visit the Maldives and stay at resorts the likes of Reethi Faru Resort. The tourists were promised “no new fees or additional costs” as well as “better holiday packages.”
