Anantara Dhigu Achieves Green Globe Certification – Going Green!

Testament to its continued commitment to following eco-friendly friendly practices, Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa Maldives has achieved Green Globe Certification. Apart from this Maldives resort, all other resorts in the country owned by Anantara have also earned this certification making it the first operator in Maldives to have this achievement.

The Green Globe Certification which is seen as a benchmark for eco-friendly & sustainable practices followed by those in the tourism and hospitality industry, covers a range of aspects including those on sustainable management, cultural heritage, social / economic development and the environment. A key feature at Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa is the Coral Adoption Programme that has been put into place giving guests a chance to get actively involved in coral conservation. This long-term project seeks to focus on the regeneration of corals and one is given a chance to be a part of a project that involves getting involved in reef creation as well.
