Anantara Hosts 2017 King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament – Fun & Games for a Worthy Cause

As part of its continual corporate social responsibility projects that focuses on elephant conservation and protection, hospitality brand Anantara recently held its annual King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament. It was the 15th edition of this popular event and those staying at hotels and serviced suites Bangkok has to offer within easy reach of the Chao Phraya River area were able to easily access the tournament venue. Anantara Baan Rajprasong Bangkok Serviced Suites was amongst the participating properties that offered special promotions for this event. The 2017 King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament which was held from 9th to 12th March, saw the participation of 30 elephants that were rehabilitated from their former occupation of being street elephants. The event featured 10 teams with a variety of celebrities from Thailand as well as New Zealand rugby players amongst those who participated. Money earned from the tournament will be used to help a number of projects especially those connected with elephant conservation.
