Angkor Park Records Remarkable Surge in Foreign Tourist Numbers for January — A magnet for global explorers

In January 2024, Angkor Archaeological Park in Cambodia witnessed a remarkable surge in foreign tourist arrivals, reporting a 50% increase in ticket sales compared to the previous year.

Managed by Angkor Enterprise (AE), the park recorded sales totaling $5.5 million from over 115,000 international visitors. This substantial growth underscores Angkor’s enduring appeal as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Additionally, income from ticket sales at the Koh Ker temple complex and boat tickets at Chong Kneas contributed to the park’s revenue stream. Anheng Sokpheak, President of the Cambodia Chinese Tour Guide Association, highlighted the rising interest among global tourists in exploring Siem Reap attractions, reflecting the region’s growing popularity as a premier travel destination.

Amidst this surge, hotels and resorts, such as FCC Angkor by Avani, stand as a gateway to Angkor’s wonders, welcoming visitors from across the globe to immerse themselves in its rich cultural heritage.
