Arrivals in Singapore for 2022 Exceed 6 Million – Indonesia & India Key Source Markets

As reported by the Singapore Tourism Board in January this year, the country had a better-than-expected year in 2022 recording 6.3 million international arrivals. This was a significant feat considering that the Lion City, like many other nations, is getting their tourism industry back on track since the pandemic. The top two source markets were Indonesia and India respectively, while Malaysia came in third. In total, travellers helped to achieve tourism receipts amounting to $14 billion in 2022.

The prospects for 2023 are even better with China also beginning to relax travel restrictions making it easier for its citizens to go overseas. Singapore is expecting around 12 to 14 million visitors this year who will generate approximately $18 to $21 billion. The country continues to be a leading destination for both leisure and corporate travellers who can stay at 5-star hotels in Singapore; these include properties in the Civic District and within the Central Business District like Grand Park City Hall which is also ‘SG Clean’ certified, ensuring safe and memorable stays.
