Ascott Registers Record Growth in 2020 – Plans For Expansions in 2021

A remarkable feat considering the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Ascott Limited reported a significant growth in its management portfolio for 2020; this was highlighted in an online article published last month (12th January) by leading accommodation trade magazine, HM. Globally, the group saw an addition of over 14,000 new serviced residences at 71 properties; this was more than what it achieved in 2019 and was the fourth consecutive year of growth.

China was a key market for The Ascott Limited with close to a dozen cities to see a new property or some form of expansion. Currently, the group has a strong presence in the country offering everything from a luxury apartment in Beijing to a serviced residence in Shaoxing at the well-located Citadines Keqiao Shaoxing. The company’s presence will expand in Chinese cities such as Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou as well as in other destinations including Manila, Sydney, Doha, Singapore and Vietnam.
