In light of the somewhat easing of travel restrictions following the outbreak of the global COVID-19 pandemic, many countries in Asia are beginning to slowly reopen their borders. This was highlighted in a recent article published online by Condé Nast Traveller which highlighted the various statuses of certain countries and what they were doing at the time.
One of the destinations mentioned was Hong Kong which was opening borders for those arriving from places like China, Taiwan and Macau with a mandatory 14-day quarantine period; accommodation options are also available for travellers be it at a property in Wan Chai or a Kowloon hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui including the likes of Park Hotel Hong Kong. Other countries highlighted were the Maldives which reopened for tourists in July and Singapore which has Green / Fast Lane agreements for certain travel between nations such as China.
