Australia-New Zealand Travel Resumes – Trans-Tasman Bubble in Effect

Those from Australia and New Zealand were once more able to freely travel between the two countries without having to quarantine as the trans-Tasman bubble came into effect last month. From 19th April 2021 onwards, Australians could travel to New Zealand and enjoy stays with loved ones or at safe accommodation options; this includes Auckland Harbour hotels such as the well-placed Auckland Harbour Suites and serviced apartments in Queenstown and Wellington.

Since October 2020, travellers from New Zealand had been allowed to enter most states in Australia, though some still required quarantine depending on the point of departure. With the new travel bubble, this will not be the case anymore as travellers enjoy quarantine-free entry both ways, though the situation will be constantly monitored too. The resumption of two-way travel is also expected to provide a much-need economic boost for both these two nations while paving a way for loved ones to be reunited as well.
