Australia on Track to Reopen Borders Before End of 2021 – Santa Is Coming Early This Year!

The months following the statement made by the Tourism Minister Dan Tehan which stated that Australia was on track to “reopen by Christmas at the latest” was heavy with hope and expectation. The preparatory work of vaccinating the local population was being done for Australia to open its borders for limited inbound and outbound travel. By the end of October, at least 36% of the Australian population had been fully vaccinated.

Alongside the vaccine rollout, Australia finally reopened its borders on 1st November 2021 after a gruelling 19 months. This means the Australian citizens who had been stranded overseas or have not been united with their families can finally come home in time for Christmas! Families can plan safe and secure reunions at a serviced apartment in Melbourne such as the Avani Melbourne Central Residences to celebrate being reunited with their loved ones, before the end of 202.
