Australia’s First Digital Driving License Issued in Queensland – Towards a Digitised World

The residents in Queensland will get access to a digital driver’s license in the near future. This will be the first Australian license that will also be valid overseas. The new license is set to be available within a few months; initially, it will roll out in Townsville as part of a trial, which would include 72,000 participants who may or may not be based at Townsville accommodation apartments the likes of Oaks Townsville Metropole Hotel.

Although South Australia and New South Wales already have these digital licenses, the new digital driving license will be the first of its kind to reach international standards of identification. This app will also provide digital access for proof-of-age cards and marine licenses. Cyber experts say that digital license is incredibly secure if you use a unique password.
