Avani Hotels and Resorts appoints new general managers for Thailand – A reformation in the hopes of positive changes

As a reforming welcome to the coming new year, Avani Hotels and Resorts appointed four new general managers, all with extensive experience in the hospitality industry. The managers are assigned to the properties in Thailand, namely, Avani Hotels in Hua Hin, Phuket, Bangkok, and Kaho Lak. The changes were made in order to further improve the services provided by Avani Hotels & Resorts and to enhance the quality of interactions for every guest, including those who book hotels online.

Naowarat Arunkong comes back to the family as Cluster General Manager at Avani+Hua Hin Resort and Anantara Hua Hin Resort. Her professional history with Minor Hotel goes back to 1999.  She started as General Manager at Anantara Hua Hin Resort and was later transferred to Bangkok and started as General Manager at Oaks Bangkok Sathorn and Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel. Sandra Waterman, on the other hand, joins the company as another Cluster General Manager at Avani+Mai Khao Phuket Suites & Villas and Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas; she has been in the hospitality industry for the last 25 years. With a background in food and beverage and two decades’ worth of professional experience, Chidchanok Pasinpong joins the hotel group as General Manager at Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel. Darren Darwin, a Brit, also joins the hotel group as General Manager at the Avani+Khao Lak Resort, an upcoming project. Darren has three decades worth of experience in the luxury hospitality industry and first joined the group in 2014 as General Manager at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort.
