Delayed by the pandemic, Dubai Expo is being held from 1st October 2021 to 31st March 2022. Initially scheduled for the period from 20th October 2020 to 10th April 2021, the expo had to be delayed due to the pandemic. The organisers decided to not alter the name Expo 2020 even though it’s an event that pans from 2021 into 2022; the decision was taken on account of the marketing aspects.
A 438-hectare space lodged between Abu Dhabi and Dubai is the chosen site of the event. The tourism industry of the UAE that suffered a massive income loss due to the pandemic is expected to be revived by virtue of the event. 4-star hotels in Dubai, the likes of Avani Ibn Battuta Hotel Dubai, for example, are once again a popular choice among travellers, and the hospitality workers are given a second chance at reviving their careers that were impeded by the pandemic.
