Visit Maldives at WTM London 2021 – A Key Opportunity for Destination Promotion

WTM (World Travel Market) London 2021 was successfully held last year with Visit Maldives amongst the participants as it promoted the Maldives as an ideal tourist destination. Apart from a virtual element, the event also had a physical aspect that ran from 1st to 3rd November 2021 in the UK’s capital. By attending, Visit Maldives was able to network with travel trade partners and industry stakeholders not just from the UK, but around the world too.

A special roadshow was also held to showcase the MICE opportunities in the Maldives, while a VIP event was hosted on the last day, with the nation’s leader, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in attendance. Tourists around the world keep being drawn to the Maldives; villas on private island resorts such as Grand Park Kodhipparu, Maldives continue to be a key allure offering safe accommodation too. Following the promotional initiatives at WTM London 2021, more arrivals will be expected this year.
