At a recent discussion held about groundwater reserves and sustainable tourism in Bali, it was revealed that although Tourism is the largest contributor to the Balinese economy, it also creates several issues such as trash depleting resources and water management that affect the long-run sustainability of the industry and the country at large.
Bali beach resorts play an integral part in the tourism industry and according to authorities who expressed their views at this discussion, they should possess a clear vision and a focus as to how to ensure the sustainability factor. However, famous resorts the likes of Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort have already taken green initiatives and waste management strategies as their target of taking Bali towards sustainable tourism and this will also be a great initiative in preserving Bali for the future generations as well.
