Balloon Festival

The Hot Air Ballooning Festival will be held during the month of March in and around the capital Colombo, Hambanthota and Sigiriya. Travelers looking for accommodation near these locations should consider the Hotel Sigiriya, a premier among luxury hotels in Sigiriya.

The balloon festival is organized by the Ceylon Air Ship and Balloon Club and is set to see the participation of 72 participants from all over the world. With a total of 22 balloons, the Annual Hot Air Ballooning Festival will follow a path around the country from down south to the North-Central plains of Sri Lanka before landing in Colombo’s Independence Square Gardens.
