Where lights meet legacy—Bangkok reimagines Diwali on a global stage.

Bangkok is gearing up to host a vibrant Diwali 2025 celebration, aimed at welcoming over 500,000 Indian tourists this October. Spearheaded by Thailand’s National Soft Power Development Committee and the Thai Trade Representative’s Office, the festival is designed to deepen cultural ties while boosting economic engagement with India.

Modelled after the globally popular Songkran Festival, the event will feature a grand light-and-sound parade, Indian classical and fusion performances, cross-cultural fashion showcases, and a Global Fair spotlighting wellness, retail, and travel. A culinary highlight will be Indian-Thai fusion cuisine.

With over 13 airlines offering direct India–Thailand routes and a growing demand from Indian middle and upper-middle-class travellers, Diwali 2025 aligns perfectly with peak holiday travel.

Visitors seeking comfort near the festivities will find Maitria Hotel Rama 9 Bangkok a smart choice, among the top 4-star hotels in Bangkok known for style and convenience. The festival is set to elevate Bangkok as a regional hub of cultural diplomacy and experiential tourism.
