Local rugby fans in Batam, Indonesia, had the chance to witness some action-packed sporting action at the recent Batam International Rugby 10s. This sporting competition was held from 15th to 16th February 2020 at the Stadion Temenggung Abdul Jamal within easy reach of Travelodge Batam; this venue in the Riau Islands offers those staying at hotels in Batam a chance to witness such sporting events when on holiday as well.
The Batam International Rugby 10s marked the inaugural edition of this tournament which saw a variety of teams competing in the men’s and women’s categories. Apart from this event, Indonesia will also be hosting the Jakarta International Rugby 10s later this year; it is scheduled to take place on 18th April 2020 at the GBK Rugby Field in Jakarta and will feature categories for men, women, veterans (over 35 years) and juniors.
