While the tourism industry in Sri Lanka with the inclusion of Colombo, Galle, Kandy, Dambulla hotels and many more tourist focus lodgings and destinations faced many challenges within the past months due to the prevailing economic situation in the country, the island hopes to revive tourism with several strategies in place for December. This comes as a positive ring for hotels like Heritance Kandalama, as they will now be able to anticipate international guest arrivals to their lodgings.
Sri Lanka’s Minister of Tourism and Lands was hopeful as he displayed interest in forging partnerships with hotels, OTAs and airline companies. He made this statement during a three-day city roadshow in Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai, as reported on Hospitality World from the Economic Times on the 29th of September 2022.
