Botswana defends elephant hunts, denies blow to the tourism industry

At a recently held discussion about Botswana’s Tourism Industry, Joy Kenewendo- the Minister of the Investment, Trade, and Industry stated that the decision that they recently took to reintroduce elephant hunting in the country has not adversely affected its tourism industry, but has helped in protecting the people and the environment.
