Brisbane 2032 to Bring Tourism Windfall – Businesses Urged to Work with the Government

In July this year, the International Olympic Committee announced Brisbane as the host for the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics. This is seen as a key opportunity to promote tourism in Queensland as well with cities such as Cairns that offers Great Barrier Reef experiences amongst those expected to enjoy increased visitors. Other areas in the state are bound to benefit too with a range of attractions and accommodation on offer. This includes Central Queensland destinations like Middlemount; service apartments here including those at properties like Oaks Middlemount Suites offer an ideal base to explore the idyllic Isaac Region.

As part of the preparations for Brisbane 2032, Queensland businesses were also urged to work with the local government to make sure that full advantage was taken of hosting the games. This was brought into the spotlight on the Business News Australia website on 15th September 2021, which was quoting the views of Gus Mandigora, a senior policy advisor of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland.
