Brisbane to Host 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games – Hosting for the 3rd time

Discussions were held in Tokyo about the location for the next Olympic Games and Australia, Brisbane managed to win the bid this time. The IOC President, Thomas Bach announced “The International Olympic Committee has the honour of announcing that the Games of the XXXV Olympiad in 2032 is awarded to Brisbane, Australia”.

This announcement brought about celebrations in Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
