An event that will have a significant bearing in a world where the COVID-19 pandemic will hopefully soon pass, BUILDEX Maldives has been scheduled to be held next month. At present, it is expected to run from 30th June to 2nd July 2020 and will be hosted at the Dharubaaruge Exhibition Hall in the capital, Male. The exhibition will bring together professionals from the construction industry as well as resort owners, structural engineers, architects, developers, interior designers and more.
Before the outbreak of the pandemic, the country had witnessed rapid development; this included the creation of island resorts the likes of Faarufushi Maldives which offer tourists a chance to stay at an overwater or beach bungalow. Maldives accommodation options aside, the nation has also invested in constructing roads, harbours, bridges, offices, houses and more and such events will be key in kick-starting these infrastructure initiatives.
