Cable car project to accentuate the views of Nuwara Eliya – New initiatives: new hopes

Sri Lanka generates a considerable portion of its GDP through the tourism sector. Destinations such as Nuwara Eliya are immensely popular among the travelling community, both local and international. Meanwhile, the government has stated that they will invest 52 million Euros for a proposed cable car project from Nanu-Oya to Nuwara Eliya. This will be a positive sign in terms of developing the industry. The government has also stated that they have plans to develop newly identified attractions in the region for the world to explore.
