Cambodia Cooperate with Thailand to Boost Tourism – Promoting Cambodia, Thailand Relations

With increasing relations between the two countries, Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to enhance their cooperation in the spheres of trade, investment, economy, and tourism. The newly appointed Thai Ambassador to Cambodia, Panyarak Poolthup and the Cambodian Minister of Tourism Thong Khon held bilateral discussions to discuss ways of attracting tourists from third world countries. In 2017, nearly 700,000 Cambodians visited Thailand while 400,000 Thai tourists visited Cambodia. With many tourists flocking from different parts of the world, Cambodia offers a myriad of accommodation options such as Anantara Angkor Resort, which is one of the many popular Siem Reap luxury hotels. Through these enhanced bilateral relations, Cambodia can learn more from Thailand. Especially the wide array of products and services offered by Thailand to cater to the needs of tourists who visit the country annually.
